Flight Simulator Airspace Information

Citilink, a strategic business unit of PT Garuda Indonesia, inaugurated the acceptance of Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Indonesian Ministry of transportation. This certificate signs a new era of change in management that had been under the management of Garuda Indonesia for all these times, to become a dynamic and independent management. The Spin off plan will be implemented in the next few months (May or June 2012). Actually Citilink is intent on doing a spin off from 2011. Later using the name PT Citilink will be operate as a Citilink Airlines. Citilink will operate five aircraft belonging to their own and five leases aircraft to meet the conditions of ownership of the aircraft in accordance with Indonesian Act No. 9 of 2009 about Flight. Still with the Low Cost Carrier concept, Citilink will bring in as many as 50 new aircraft, the Airbus A320 is gradually being accepted starting in 2014. From September 2011 until February 2012 there are already five A320 units. Airbus A320 was more in line with the concept of LCC because it will be able to accommodate more passengers, i.e. as much as 180 passengers.

In addition to the launch of the new livery and new colors, Citilink has run a complete rebranding strategy, start from the interior of the new plane, the ticketing office, new cabin crew uniforms, until the new websites layout. As well as marketing and communication supported programs to reach out to the public officially.

Citilink, is a low cost airline subsidiary of Garuda Indonesia. Based in Juanda International Airport of Surabaya established in 2001. Citilink set up to serve shuttle flights between cities in Indonesia. Citilink ceased operations since January 15, 2008 to consolidate and plan to continue the flight in first quarter 2008 with the new format and services.

Citilink is currently still using its ageing Boeing 737-300/400 narrow body airplanes, which are soon to be phased out, to serve eight cities in Indonesia but plans to add new destinations with new Airbus airplanes. The first Airbus type A320 arrived in late of August. The first A320 is currently linking Jakarta with Balikpapan, Banjarmasin and Medan and took its first commercial flight on Sept. 16, 2011. As part of its fleet rejuvenation program, Citilink will be introducing four more A320-200s into service, between October 2011 and February 2012.
